I spent about 30 minutes on a LONG post talking about how I REALLY wanted to get together with you. Yes, you specifically!
Then I ended up tagging a BUNCH of people who I “specifically” wanted to get together with and Facebook decided that I’d talked too long and dumped the whole thing with an endless spinning ball that wouldn’t let me even copy the “priceless” words that I’d crafted to let you know how much getting together again in person would mean to me.
Gone! Poof! Never to be recovered!
You know how it is. You have some amazing people in your circle and we all want to get together, but life keeps getting in the way.
You think back to the friendships you’ve made and treasured and suddenly realize how long it’s been since you’ve had an in-depth REAL conversation sitting over a table face to face.
And sure you’ve had great plans to show up and talk about what’s going on in your lives NOW, but life just keeps getting in the way.
And then there’s the fact that it’s not just ONE person you feel this way about, it could be dozens or in some cases hundreds. How are you supposed to make time for that!
Life is BUSY for everyone! You are trying to find a balance between dreams, visions, and work, not to mention a family life balance.
Life is so short and what you don’t nourish is gone! Poof! Never to be recovered!
That includes friends and family.
I really YEARN for time together and not just a hundred people at a time (although that can be pretty great too!)
I long to spend time with YOU specifically to catch up with YOUR dreams, YOUR hopes, and YOUR plans for the future, and I really want to help in any way I can, because working together we can do so much more than we ever could alone.
That’s why I proactively schedule a time to get together with the people that mean the most to me on a regular basis.
So yes, today, I was thinking specifically about you and how great it would be to get together in person again and just spend a day with a few good friends talking about ways we can make dreams reality, and how we can work together to make it happen faster, bigger and with more positive impact for everyone.
You probably think I’m kidding about that “specifically you” part, but I’m not. Why would I think of you specifically? Because you are one of the people out there making the good stuff happen. Because I treasure our friendship and I want to make time for it.
I set a full day aside just to focus on you and a few other incredible friends, together over a table, talking about your life.
It’s January 24th and I REALLY hope you can make it.
