I’ve been talking to a few people I really respect about changing everything.
That includes all of my events, programs, projects, EVERYTHING.
Have you ever said, “it’s time to clean house and start over from scratch!”
Have you ever packed a few belongings into a car and moved across the country on blind faith?
Have you ever thought, you really need a redo?
What if you could?
The truth is, we can all start over anytime we choose. You’ve heard the saying, “today is the first day of the rest of your life.” Well, back that up with, “It’s never too late to change, unless you’re really, really, old and then ya, it’s probably too late.”
I’ve been saying I was really, really old since I was 18 and I’m not going to give up on changing until the day I die.
So I’m cleaning house kids and you better let me know what you want me to keep.
Let me start out with saying I LOVE you jvAlert Live regulars.
You know who you are. The folks who have been in the family for years now, who formed their key relationships, built businesses and friendships proven on the stage of life for years now.
I know this is going to sound like Dad again, but you regulars know I love you dearly and you can take “tough love” if you have to.
But, before I give it to you, I want you to know, I think I’ve let you down a bit and I want to make it right — and I need your advice to do it in a way where you don’t lose the things you love about the Impact/jvAlert family.
So the purpose of this is to make things better, but the other half is you have to let me know what is really VALUABLE in your inheritance or I might just toss it out in the cleaning, I’m about to do, because this house is getting a bit cluttered and it’s time to toss out everything that’s not working.
You see, you ARE my legacy and you are going to end up with everything that’s left.
You’re in my will — the kind of will that really counts — and I want to give you everything you really want — not a lot of junk.
So here’s the tough love …
I’ve talked to a number of jvAlert “old-timers” lately — okay, they “think” they are old-timers, because they grew up on jvAlert Live and to them 5-8 years ago seems like the dark ages.
Some of them are half my age, so it could be a third of their life they’ve been coming to jvAlert Live so they are entitled to feel like they’ve always been a part of this special family.
The “old-timers” memories of jvAlert Live are filled with relationships they made, networking they did, friendships which have lasted for years and sometimes when they return they feel like the networking they experienced has been replaced with people trying to sell them things.
It’s a false memory …
You are right, you DID make those incredible relationships and friendships at jvAlert Live. You built multi-million dollar joint ventures in many cases, you built a lifetime of incredible people who care about you, but …
Sorry to burst the bubble my dear, dear friends, but people have ALWAYS tried to sell you things at jvAlert Live.
In fact, I encourage people who have valuable solutions to sell them and in fact I tell them it’s their DUTY to get the good stuff out to the people who need them.
NOTE: In case you think it’s gotten more prevalent over time, I’ll let you in on a secret. In the “good ole days, when you remember all of the magic relationships you formed, we had less content, less networking and more selling because I used to cram presentations into 60 minute slots with 15 minutes in between.
Here’s what REALLY changed …
You.
You are a heck of a lot more sophisticated than the first time you came to jvAlert Live, you know a heck of a lot more stuff.
You don’t need more information!
Well actually you do, but admit it, that’s what you were thinking. Don’t kid yourself, if you aren’t learning, you are dying. But, I get your point.
What you really need is insights, the latest data, strategies and tactics to show you what’s working now and the relationships to turn knowledge and insights into real leverage.
Here’s where I think I let you down …
As you became more sophisticated, I failed to give you extra attention you needed. It’s a little bit like being caught at a master’s level when you really want to earn your doctorate.
What I really never did at jvAlert Live was separate the levels of expertise.
A lot of that has to do with my outlook on life. By nature, I’m inclusive, not exclusive.
When people start to talk about “us” vs. “them” my guard goes up, because we are “us” and we are “them.”
I love the fact people who are just starting out get to spend time with the best-of-the-best, because they get to see they are no different and they can have remarkable levels of success too.
But, those of you who have earned your stripes also need some extra attention and you deserve some high-level time with your peers — in fact you need it.
At the same time, I have to protect your legacy …
One of the things I preach is, “you can’t help the poor by being poor.”
Whatever, your mission, you need a solid financial plan to sustain it so it can have the most impact.
The same thing is true of Impact and jvAlert Live.
Up until this point the financial model of jvAlert Live has been multi-speaker platform sales.
A number of people over the years have encouraged me to more of a workshop, teaching and networking model.
Here’s the catch …
With the current model, you can get into jvAlert Live for almost nothing. I realize there is still an investment although with more events closer to many of you are able to attend these events for a tiny fraction of the value. I asked people in Arlington whether they got their value and they LAUGHED at me! It was that obvious.
In a platform sales environment, you don’t have to buy anything, you get powerful networking with amazing people and countless opportunities to create lifetime relationships.
That enables people on a budget to get there and I like that part.
With a workshop, you have to pay upfront.
No way around it. Bottom-line if it’s a true workshop model or high-level pure masterminding, mentoring or networking, someone’s has to pay the bills to make it happen, whether that’s $497, $997, $2,500 or five figures or more. The value can definitely be piled on upfront, but bottom-line you have to pay up front.
Here’s the model I’m considering for jvAlert Live Events…
Thursday – Pure Workshop and High-Level
“One Day Intensive” Event for Players …
Part of my new Impact Players Initiative, Thursdays will be a high level workshop, a powerful mastermind and networking designed for advanced speakers, coaches, authors, info product creators, experts and marketers.
The good news is it’s not just for people who can actually attend the live event.
At each event, I’ll bring one “best-of-the-best” expert to provide high-level content at the start of the event, then the rest of the event will be pure mastermind and networking at a very high-level.
We will record the content and deliver amazing value to players who want to participate at the top-level even if you can’t be at the live event.
This new program kicks off in San Diego …
I’m kicking off this idea in San Diego with Mitch Axelrod.focusing on new systems to maximize your profits, leverage your intellectual property and carve out an impactful legacy.
The pure content part will be priceless.
Mitch has helped more than one million people and thousands of companies generate $2.5 billion of additional income. Mitch can show you how to apply high leverage to boost your revenue, take home income and net worth.
Mitch hasn’t done this type of intensive workshop and practical application in a while now, because until now, you had to be one of his high-ticket clients to benefit from Mitch’s experience and genius.
Whether or not you come to the live event, you can still participate.
You just need to register for the San Diego One Day Intensive NOW, because I’m sure we will be flooded with people who want to join us in San Diego.
http://onedayintensive.com/sandiego
We are also forming a Private Impact Players Facebook Group just for the people in this initiative.
We will be providing you with updated content via special webcasts.
And more bonuses ….
If you purchase a ticket to the San Diego One Day Intensive — even if you can’t attend — you can send someone in your place and bring a guest. That’s TWO for the price of one.
Plus, you get 2 tickets to ANY jvAlert Live Event … San Diego, Denver, you name it — a total of 12 of these events this year around the country.
Plus, You get Mitch’s powerful package “The NEW Game of Selling” and 3 months of his Players Club membership, which is valued well in excess of the ticket price all by itself, plus two other packages which are priceless!
One clear action so you don’t miss out …
Just register for the San Diego One Day Intensive — even if you can’t attend – and we will send you all of the materials and instructions to be a part of this amazing experience for top-level players.

New jvAlert Live Event Model …
My goal … Less sales pitches, more content, more networking.
This is a process. In order to move to a new financial model, I can’t just cut out the sales that enable me to let you into the event inexpensively.
We need to work together to make sure the Thursday high-level paid workshops are filled, because if we can move to paid high-level workshops and masterminds on Thursday then we can deliver more content, more networking and less sales pitches on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I’m thinking this will be the best of both worlds for the future, but I need your help to make the transition.
If you want this new model in place and you want this to be the new model for future events, take part in our new Players Initiative for advanced speakers, coaches, authors, info product creators, experts and marketers.
Just register for the San Diego One Day Intensive — even if you can’t attend – and we will send you all of the materials and instructions to be a part of this amazing experience for top-level players.
Then at the highest of levels …
In the past decade and a half, I’ve developed some amazing friendships and I’m thinking of bringing about 50 of them together for a special two day — best of the best from a decade and a half — live mastermind event. ZERO selling, just about 50 people, all hand-picked, networking and sharing their best ideas.
I’m going to tell you who I’m considering inviting. If are on this list, let me know if you are interested in attending and we will try to find dates that match the schedules of the group the best. I know it will be a bit tough because this is a VERY busy group, but we can plan this out a bit and make it happen.
If you know of someone who SHOULD be on the list, please let me know that too. I know I’ve left off some very important names, but it’s just a data retrieval problem, not an attempt to exclude some of my best friends in the world, so if you think you should be there, let me know that too. DO be aware, I’m doing this as high-level mastermind. It’s for thought leaders, not beginners.
Here are a few of the people I’m considering inviting Seth Godin, Brendon Burchard, Joel Comm, Mike Koenigs, Andy Jenkins, John Reese, Yanik Silver, Mark Joyner, Dave Lakhani, Ray Edwards, David L. Hancock, Alicia Lyttle, Jeff Walker, Joe Polish, Mike Filsaime, Alex Mandossian, Armand Morin, Russell Brunson, Bob Yeager, Mitch Axelrod, Tom Beal, Declan Dunn, Todd Brown, Omar Martin, Stefanie Hartman, Carrie Wilkerson, John Chow, Ross Goldberg, Bob Jenkins, Jeff Mills, John Di Lemme, Glenn Dietzel, Dan Nickerson, Rick Raddatz, Adam Urbanski, Mike Woo-Ming, JP Maroney, Barbara Drazga, Andrea J. Lee, Dr.Mani Sivasubramanian, Dr. Sami Fab, Lou Dalo, Rick Frishman, Sean Wander, Joel Therien, Jason Anderson, Mike Merz, Bob Debbas, Daven Michaels, Colin Arthur Wiebe, Tracey Fieber, Tracy Repchuk, Dr. Win Schneider, Allyn Cutts, Sam Crowley, Scott Scioli, Willie Crawford, David Perdew, Gail Kingsbury, Stuart Tan, Joe Preston, Joshua Shafran, Melanie Benson Strick, Mike Lewis, Srini Saripalli, Di ane Conklin, Simon Leung, Bill and Steve Harrison, and Brandon Barnum.
Finally …
I don’t EVER want to lose what we have.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this post. Please comment below.

Ken I think these are powerful evolutionary steps that will propel the legacy of both JV and the Impact project into the future. The new JV model of networking with its multiple levels is a winning strategy. I look forward to aiding this rich and powerful legacy.
Thanks,
Dwan
Thanks for the comments Dwan! And thanks for being such a wonderful member of the family. Always great to see you and spend time with you!
If you don’t change, you die, and that would be the WORST thing to happen to jvAlert — the worst!
Everything in the Internet business world has shifted over the past couple of years, so it’s a good move and I wish you every success. I have started over in life more times than I care to count, and every time, I’ve come out better for it. I’m sure jvAlert will, too. Sounds like an amazing plan!
Thanks so much Pat! Love seeing you at jvAlert Live Events always!
Ken, you are one of the most giving souls I know and at the end of the day, these changes are important so that you can give more. I like the idea of the high end MM on the front end and content for the other days. I agree with all of the proposed changes and look forward to the next event that I CAN attend. All the best,
Thanks so much for the input, support and kind words Sean. You mean a lot to me!
