Tom Beal asked me this question …
What is THE biggest takeaway from your most recent event about what is working well for either you, one of your speakers or attendees? In other words, the big AHA that you left that event with?
Here’s my answer …
Hey Tom,
At jvAlert Live, I was reminded yet again about the fact that It’s always about the basics, not the new, talked about or biggest or best.
To make money on-line you need three things:
- A product or service to sell
- An audience to sell it to
- Conversion – you need to convince someone to give you the money.
Without ALL of those three things you can’t make money. With ALL of those three things you WILL make money.
So many people are missing one or more of the three and don’t even notice.
I’m reminded of the creator of a List Building Product on the Hot Seat at the 7 Figure event who was forced to admit that he had no list, but was still focused on making the product better – you aren’t ever going to make money until you have an audience.
I’m working on all three of course, but right now I’m focused laser sharp on building more fresh audience for my events, mentoring and coaching programs.
I have the quality — everyone loves jvAlert Live events for sure — But, I’m looking to ramp up my live events massively from 3 events a year to more than a dozen and I want to grow them in size, so now I need to develop partners, systems and techniques to drive audience (leads, prospects, partners, advocates) into the amazing Impact family so that I can have an even bigger impact through amazing people like you. If any of you can help drive more people to my life-changing events, I’d love to talk.
Audience building requires solid partners, because I’m WAY too busy to do it all on my own.
So my basic starting right now is Audience.
By the way, I know you know this, but it’s always worth repeating — it’s always the basics that apply in building partnerships.
- Think of the other person first and how you can help them.
- Do what you say you are going to do, when you say you are going to do it.
If you ONLY did those two things, every top-level marketer – or any other type of person – would notice you.
Rare traits to have – and people who see them tell other people.
I’m so glad you have them in spades and so proud to have known you all these years.
We need to have breakfast again!
All the best,
Ken

The basics are what wins in sports, health, relationships and business. We all pretty know what we should do if we were serious about any of the aforementioned life topics. What differentiates top performers from the rest of the pack is that the top performers actually do what they know they should do; consistently & persistently.
Exactly Tom! You are a shining example for doing exactly that!
Ken, your events, jvAlertLive and Impact, address one of the real basics of marketing- that is that people do business with those they know, like and trust.
Your live events are a perfect way for people to get to personally know the pros that can really help an entrepreneur build their business. I support your efforts 100%. Thank your for organizing these events that attract so many talented people.
Thanks so much for the kind words Steve!
