PERSONAL UPDATE …

It’s been an “interesting” summer.

I think that’s true for most people. Life is full of challenges, adventures and constant change.

We always “think” that life will be like it is right now forever and of course it never stays that way.

I have a lot of young friends.

They help me stay in touch with life, meaning and purpose.

That’s good because, when you get to a “certain” age, you’ve seen so much and feel like you’ve done it all.

Young people keep reminding me that as long as you are alive, there’s more adventure ahead of you.

My Dad is now 91 and has been falling a lot. He’s receiving hospice care and I’m not sure how much longer he will last.

I’m hoping to see my Mom and Dad when I go out to Denver in a couple weeks for the Impact Event.

I remember Dad when he was my age and it wasn’t that long ago.

I took a big step back this summer and thought about the future.

I looked at options for where I wanted to live, how I wanted to work and support myself and the people I love and what I wanted to create for lasting impact.

I decided that I wanted to do less things, but do them better.

That’s why I’m so thrilled about what I’m doing right now.

Life is coming down to just a few key projects.

  1. My new book — to represent my meaning and purpose in life.
  2. My new movie — to reach millions of people with.
  3. My masterminds — to touch peoples lives personally with depth and purpose.
  4. My Impact Event — to be the event for thought leaders who want to create impact.
  5. The Impact Action Plan — to be the blueprint for people who want to reach millions with their ideas, products and services.
  6. The Impact Foundation — to continue impact beyond my life.

That’s my plan for this year.

Of course, it will be so much more than I expect.

New opportunities come every day and become part of the master plan, while other activities identify themselves as distractions.

I don’t expect that things will remain the same — for better or worse.

All of this sound like a lot of activities. That’s because it is a lot!

The good news is, we can do so much more working together.

All of these projects fit together perfectly, so really it’s only one project.

The book will distill the ideas of a lifetime. The movie will present them in a powerful new way. The masterminds will allow me to continue to touch people individually. The Impact Event will enable me to bring amazing people together. The Impact Action Plan will give people the blueprint for creating impact and the Impact Foundation will enable people with positive purpose to reach the people who they can bless, long after I’m gone.

It’s a big plan.

Sometimes, I think I can’t do it all — and I’m right.

It takes you — the Impact Family, my personal friends and supporters, the art, science and technology and so much more.

But it starts with the simple.

It’s the act of kindness and support.

That’s what builds powerful new communities that change the world for the better.

I have lots to think about and lots to do.

I’m so glad I get to do it with you.

All the best,
