Sometimes, we just make things WAY too complicated!
Life can get complicated really quick.
In fact, the process for signing up for the new consolidated Impact/jvAlert program was a bit convoluted.
There were applications to fill out, PDF files to read, probably way too much information.
My fault!
So let’s make it simple.
- Pick your package and complete the first month’s payment.
That’s it!
What did I learn?
KEEP IT SIMPLE!
Hopefully, YOU are making mistakes in your own business too, because if you aren’t you aren’t doing enough!
Now share your story!
What kind of Mistakes Have YOU Been Making Lately?
Tell me a story of a mistake you’ve made and what you learned from that mistake.
All the best,

Hey Ken,
Hope to you feel better, I’m just getting over a bad head/chest cold.
I think you’re takeaway is a big one: KEEP IT SIMPLE.
I’ve been spending the last few week’s bringing my business and daily activities to the bare essence, simplest things I need to do to get things done.
Enjoy Penn State, I miss Happy Valley!

Hey Brian!
Simple works best MOST of the time. The rest of the time, it’s usually too complicated to mess with.
Hey, Ken — I can relate totally. I once spent $500,000 on an idea because “no one’s doing it,” only to discover I needed even more than that to get it built to the point investors would take over funding it…and ran out of money before it ever finished building out.
The lesson: if no one is doing it, there is sometimes a REASON! That’s why it’s always best to go into business niches that aren’t too crowded but already do include a number of successful players making money. You can model after them — improve what they’re offering and hit the same target audience with what you know in marketing and dominate. AND: if you do plan to be the first entry, bring a lot of cash and a willingness to take arrows in the back carving the way for others to come in and profit from behind you.
Get feeling better, drive CAREFULLY and enjoy your family time!
Pioneers get to be the first, the bloodiest and sometimes – rarely — they even survive!
Hey Ken – made too many mistakes to pick the most specific, but generally, too much curiosity but not enough focus to utilize the results of searching for the “answers”.
The creative mind is always curious Richard and the quest for knowledge is endless. The key is actually doing something with what you know now.
The mistakes I’ve made are to numerous to count.
For starters I have listened to Gurus I trusted and they are worthless. They think you should start at the middle or end of their process; does not work like that. Particularly when the jargon they lose is worse than Greek. I can comprehend some Greek but not their acronyms. We were all made to make mistakes in life, but you seem to be able to catch yours. About 30,000 (rough estimate) later I am still making mistakes.
Hi Ken,
Here’s a mistake I’ve made too many times to count.
I work and work on a new product or service all week long. I have good intentions of getting it done “today”– but then there’s that one auto-responder message to still add. Oh and the one file isn’t on the download page just yet. And on and one… until the work does eventually get done — but not until like 4PM on Friday afternoon.
More times than I care to admit, THAT’S the moment I chose to send a note to my subscribers announcing my big new program/product/whatever.
And flop.
You can seriously hear crickets in the underwhelming response to the new product baby I just birthed.
I won’t ever make that mistake again!
Timing counts for a lot Felicia! And completion is a feature! Love all the good things that you are taking action on and following all the way to completion!
