I almost decided not to tell you … 3

MouthShutSometimes it’s just better to keep your mouth shut.

But according to Tony Robbins …

“When you talk about something, it’s a dream.
When you envision it, it’s exciting.
When you plan it, it’s possible.
When you schedule it, it’s real.”

All summer long I’ve been pretty quiet, but I haven’t been sitting on my rear end.

I purposely took a step back to look at my big picture and to step it up a notch.

For too long, I’ve been doing small project after small project, scrambling to get everything done quickly so I can move onto the next project.  TONS of things to do, LOTS of activity … You know the story.

Sometimes, it’s better to just stop and think.

I’d like to say it’s getting easier and better out there, but it’s getting harder for almost everyone.

You may have noticed.  The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer and  God help you if you are in the middle.

It’s not enough to be “GOOD” anymore.

You have to be the top 1 or 2 in your market.

You have to keep stepping it up a notch.

One of the ways you do that is by stepping back for a moment and thinking about what you are doing and who you are doing it for.

Because, if you aren’t in the top two for the people you serve, you won’t be getting that business.

One way to be number one or two is to specialize more.

You can be the world’s most knowledgeable expert in a topic within days IF you narrow the topic far enough.

Another way is to work together more.

I know I’ve said it countless times before, but we can do so much more working together than we can apart.

That’s my personal choice.  I want to do more together.

So I put together a plan to do more — together!

Part of that plan is a year long marketing push for a brand-new book based on my Impact Action Plan.

Part of that plan is my powerful Impact Masterminds.

Part of that plan is the Impact Event.

But, I kept quiet about the other part …

Behind the scenes I’ve quietly been working with some incredible people to put together a powerful new platform for changing lives and impacting people beyond one life.

Like many people, I’ve loved movies all my life.

And for MANY years, it’s been on my bucket list to produce a life-changing feature length film based on the principles, art, science and technology that have changed my life and thousands of other lives.

It’s the magic I call “The Impact Factor.”

There are few things as powerful as a feature film to change our society — for better or worse.

Think back to how your life has changed in the past twenty years that is directly related to how our society has changed because of messages delivered via film.

Movies have pushed the boundaries and moved the bar for over a century.  They’ve addressed what we believe, what we stand for and who we are at the core and they move us in directions that we never would have seen a decade ago.

Sometimes that’s good and sometimes it’s bad.

But, it’s hard to ignore how powerfully movies change our lives.

I have a theory …

If you’ve been listening to me for any time at all, you know I believe in McArthur’s Law.

“You make a difference, whether you want to or not.”

That difference is HUGE on thousands of people and if we apply the art, science and technology we have today, we can make that Impact exponential and impact millions.

So I am producing a Feature Length Film called “The Impact Factor”

ImpactFactorMoviePoster

It’s about how …

  • We all make a difference whether we want to or not
  • Even the small things we do impact thousands
  • Using art, science and technology can leverage our impact exponentially
  • Working together we can do so much more than we ever could apart

The movie will tell the stories of people from all walks of life who are having an impact right now and how they are reaching millions with their ideas, products and services.

It will show the strategies, tactics and systems behind the Impact Action Plan and how those principles can create exponential impact in a noisy world.

Who will be in the movie?

The movie will feature amazing people from all types of experiences, backgrounds, belief systems and levels of success telling their stories of impact.  Some of the people you will recognize instantly, others you’ve never heard of, but will never forget once you’ve seen their impact and felt their powerful message.

Artists, scientists and experts of all kinds will be showing how the Impact Factor can make your impact exponential.

People on the streets of everyday life will be illustrating it before your eyes.

Who is involved in this project?

Eventually, literally thousands of people will be participating in creating this movie, marketing it and making sure we have the positive impact we want to have.

I’d love to have YOU participate too!

You Can Be Part of this Adventure!

Clearly making a feature film is a huge undertaking.  In fact, making without the help of the Impact Family would be impossible.  But with your help we can turn an idea into reality.

We are currently looking for people to help with EVERYTHING that it takes to move a film from idea to full launch.

Making a film in the real world requires great stories, artists, actors, writers, financial partners, funding,  pre-production activities, on and off-site production activities, technical experts, music, graphics, post-production, publicity — well the list goes on forever.  In short we need YOU!

Here’s the reality check!

Making a feature film requires a significant investment in time, money and effort.

It’s obvious, nobody makes a feature film by themselves.

The good news is …

The Impact Family has SIGNIFICANT resources.

I’ve been privately asking people to help and MANY of them have stepped up to the plate.

Debz Collins is the video production whiz for Tony Robbins, plus a member of my Platinum Impact Mastermind.

Debz is committed to doing video production for the project.

I know if she can make Tony look good, she can make YOU look spectacular and at least put me in my best light.

We are in the process of putting a script together now and lining up the key people we want to have involved.

Assuming that you want to help make this reality …

A bunch of the key people will be in Denver.

We are doing a number of special activities related to The Impact Factor Movie at The Impact Event in Denver on September 26th – 28th.

YOU may want to take part and I can almost guarantee that if you show up in Denver, you WILL be in the movie in some fashion.

I’ve been thinking about a number of people I want to get involved and you may already be on my list, but if you KNOW you want to be a part of this adventure, please be proactive and let me know what you can contribute.

We will be featuring a balance of celebrities, scientists, artists, “techy types” and “REAL” people who can talk about “The Impact Factor” in the same way that the experts in the secret talked about “The Secret.”

The mix is crucial.

David Blaine — the magician — did this masterfully.

Step one he produced a viral video called Street Magic …

David actually changed the magic industry with the first viral video because it was all about the “reactions” of people watching his magic.

Then he took it up a notch with a TV show that was a brilliant combination of “real world” people and celebrities that gave him a powerful credibility …

Think of The Impact Factor Movie as Street Magic for IMPACT!

The Impact Factor Movie will feature …

  • Why we all matter whether we want to or not
  • Small world concepts
  •  Stories of small things making a big difference
  • How to art, science and technology to leverage our impact to reach millions

We are definitely looking for experts, scientists, artists, “techy types” and “real people” to feature in the film.

The impact people’s reactions to life changing moments will create is powerful.

You might even be able to tap into some celebrities and no matter who you are and how far you live from Hollywood, I know you have connections we can leverage.

For the right people we can get video done at their location.

We are planning to have the core script done soon and start filming even before Denver, but Denver is the real kickoff for filming a trailer for the movie because we will have some key people all in one place.

Your thoughts?

Tell me you want to take part and we can start rounding up the people we need to make this REAL.

All the best,

Ken McArthur

I resonate with the concepts behind your movie. I already work deeply with a man that you know named Bo in Portland. I would love to communicate concerning the concepts for your script. (I am a long time professor of engineering at a university in the state of Michigan… and a long time motivational force because of my long research in Artificial Intelligence). Ping me, if you would. I will absolutely change my schedule to meet you in Denver if it makes sense.

Great idea, Ken. The phrase, “You make a difference whether you want or not,” has a lot of connotations. If someone is texting while driving they can make a difference in the life they take or give up by their carelessness.

I’d say the difference is in your intention to make a positive difference, then Tony’s phrase really kicks in.

You intention has all the halmarks of making a distinctive difference that can carry on for a long period of time. Best wishes with it!
